Our driveway is nearly 50 years old. Is it too old to resurface?
Age alone doesn’t disqualify a slab — condition does. Plenty of Peninsula driveways from the 70s were poured thick and have decades of life left structurally. If an inspection finds the slab sound, resurfacing will work; if it finds serious structural failure, you’ll get a straight recommendation to replace instead.
Will the cracks just come back through the new surface?
